PulteGroup, Inc. (NYSE: PHM), the nation’s third largest homebuilder, announced today that Thomas J. Folliard will assume the role of Non-Executive Chairman of the Board effective January 1, 2023. The Company’s current Chair, Bryce Blair, will remain on the Board and assume the role of Chair of the Nominating and Governance Committee effective January 1, 2023.
“Tom has been a valued member of PulteGroup’s Board for over 10 years and brings a wealth of operational knowledge and board governance experience to the Chair role,” said Mr. Blair. “This transition of board leadership is consistent with our practice of regular leadership refreshment and we appreciate Tom stepping in to continue our strong governance practices.”
Mr. Folliard has held a number of leadership roles at CarMax, Inc. (NYSE: KMX), including Chief Executive Officer from 2006 to 2016. He has served on the Board of Directors of CarMax since 2006, as Chairman from 2006 to 2016 and as Non-Executive Chair since 2016. Mr. Folliard has also served on the Boards of Baron Investment Funds and Baron Select Funds since 2017.
